Programs and Services
Short-Term Assessment and Rapid Reintegration (STARR)
Saint Vincent's STARR program provides short-term placement services, including emergency shelter, respite-type services, diagnostic assessment services and intensive short-term therapy. Services are focused on stabilizing the current crisis, providing assessment services as indicated and making recommendations for ongoing treatment within the community. The program builds on the child and family strengths and develops a flexible array of individualized services to meet each child and family's unique circumstances. Stabilization and permanency are the ultimate goals of the program. We provide a comprehensive assessment of the strengths and needs of the child and family, providing a strong foundation of understanding upon which to build future treatment decisions.
The STARR program includes:
- 24-Hour Admission
- Diagnostic Assessment
- Crisis Management
- Respite
- Therapeutic, age appropriate short-term residential care
- Educational Advocacy
- Case Management
- Psychiatric Services, including Psychopharmacology
- Health care/Medical Services
- Recreation
