Group Home Program

Costa House
Saint Vincent's Group Home Program is designed to provide a therapeutic, goal directed alternative for youth who are unable to live in their own homes or in less restricted alternatives within the community. The program is intended to be a step-down and/or alternative to a more restrictive level of care for youth who, while residing at the group home, attend school within the community, including public school, special education programs or collaboratives. Group home staff work closely with parents, family members and community resources with the goal of reunification, whenever possible. Each youth's case manager addresses educational advocacy issues and supports parents, educational surrogate parents and others to ensure the proper educational placement for those students requiring special education programming. Saint Vincent's maintains three residences in Fall River, MA and three in New Bedford, MA which accommodate children and youth ranging in age from four to twenty-two years. While the program is co-educational, each residence houses a single gender population.
