Community-Based Acute Treatment

youth with adults
Short-term, acute programming for children and adolescents which provides a therapeutic 24-hour living situation with moderate levels of supervision, structure, restriction, and multi disciplinary multi-modal therapies. Treatment is less restrictive than inpatient care and more restrictive than partial hospitalization or outpatient treatment. Children/adolescents are immersed in an intensive therapeutic milieu meant to stabilize the presenting crisis. Specialized assessments and intensive case management are integral features of the program with the goal of securing the most appropriate configuration of supportive services upon discharge. This community-based program allows the child/adolescent and family members a more normalized experience, while preparing the child/adolescent and family for ongoing treatment in the community.

The Community Based Acute Treatment program includes:

  • 24-hour Admission
  • Crisis Management
  • Diagnostic Assessment
  • Short-Term Clinical Services
  • Psychiatric and Medical Assessment, including Pharmacological Services
  • Therapeutic, age appropriate short-term residential care
  • Tutoring Services and Educational Advocacy
