Saint Vincent’s, a multi-service non-profit organization that coaches, supports and empowers youth to identify and prepare for careers, to plan for independent living, to complete education or training programs, and to explore extra-curricular activities that interest them, today announced it has received a $5,000 grant from Staples Foundation for Learning (SFFL), a private foundation created by Staples, Inc.  Funding from SFFL will support the Life Skills Program for youth, ages 14 to 21.

“Saint Vincent’s empowers at-risk students to improve their self-esteem and academic capabilities and realize their full potential,” said Bill Madormo, regional vice president of Staples.  “Staples Foundation for Learning supports the Life Skills Program, which encourages students to discover their strengths and achieve success.”

“Through their support, Staples Foundation for Learning is preparing our youth for future employment and career opportunities to support their independence,” stated Saint Vincent’s Executive Director Jack Weldon.  “We are pleased to establish this partnership with Staples for the benefit of the youth in our care.”
