Saint Vincent’s recently held its 14th Annual Mission Awards Celebration in recognition of four employees who have made a significant contribution to children, youth and families in their various roles within Saint Vincent’s. The four recipients, Jennifer Crossley, Kristen Dutra, Mary Gilligan, and Marguerite Steele were nominated by their peers for this once-in-a-lifetime achievement award. Mercy Sister and Saint Vincent’s Board Member, Catherine Donovan, RSM provided a reading. Most Reverend George W. Coleman, Bishop of the Diocese of Fall River, gave the Greeting for the celebration and, together with Saint Vincent’s Executive Director Jack Weldon presented the awards. Standing before a group of Saint Vincent’s staff, family, and friends who had gathered in the on-campus chapel, Mr. Weldon congratulated and thanked the honorees for their dedication and commitment to helping children and families in countless ways while fulfilling the Mission of Saint Vincent’s.
Each honoree was nominated and received the 2011 Mission Award for outstanding service and embodiment of Saint Vincent’s Mission of Giving Children and Families in Need What They Need Most. Ms. Crossley, Ms. Dutra, and Ms. Gilligan have all worked in various capacities at Saint Vincent’s for the past eleven years, while Ms. Steele has been a part of the Saint Vincent’s Food Services Team for eight years. In their own dynamic way, each brings Saint Vincent’s Mission to life in their daily work by providing a positive impact on the quality of care for the children, youth and families of the community.
