Technology CQI Team

The Technology CQI Team’s goal is to promote and enhance the development and use of technology within the agency.  The Team has been assembled to include membership from various departments throughout the agency.  Although the agency's Information Technology (IT) Department completes much of the work, the Team is involved with the development and implementation of technology.
This year the Team reviewed and modified the Agency’s Technology Plan, a requirement for the E-Rate program (a federal grant program that provides reimbursement for eligible telecom and Internet costs).  The plan addresses such things as vision and goals for IT, major initiatives and implementation strategies.
The Team continues to provide input into various technologies throughout the agency such as recommendations involving database development, increased use of electronic storage and retrieval software, and technical support.  Maintenance of internet security is an on-going process for the team and the IT department
The agency continues to increase its use of the World Wide Web as a means of communicating with the communities we serve.  Saint Vincent’s website is designed to provide the outside community with valuable information about Saint Vincent’s.  The agency now posts on myfallriver.org.  Myfallriver.org is a social networking website dedicated to building social capital and increasing civic engagement in the Fall River community.  This community building tool was initiated by community partners as a launching pad to develop a site to connect people to people; people to resources & opportunities; people to groups & organizations; and people to ways to get involved in their neighborhood.
